We Heart Vampyres

Not really shocking news, is it. 
Last week ended with a fabulous little event with Chris Farnsworth.  Yes, The President's Vampire, the much anticipated sequel to Blood Oath, was released April 28th. 

I am lucky enough to be a fellow alum and last year was able to meet Chris at an event for his first novel. I was ecstatic to hear then of the sequel (and EVEN more so at his stating there could be 10 books)!  

If you haven't picked them up and are looking for intriguing action-filled fiction (especially in the undead or political realm) I highly recommend you begin the Nathaniel Cade series.

It is always a delight to get to do things you love with people you love! So, yes, please, to dinner and margaritas with a fabulous author who happens to write about the undead.

I am, as ever, slightly on guard that supportive endeavors can seem stalkerish - I mean, I am a fangirl.  Always will be, I just don't want to be one of the scary ones. While happy to say hi and help if possible, and get my book signed (and take pictures), I didn't get a picture of me with Chris. Oh well, these will have to do.

"Aurora.  Oh, and ... my mom.")

Aurora spent the next day pretending Cade killed our passenger seat belt, or her evil ponies, and had all sorts of interesting questions. 

Like, since Cade is a good vampire he doesn't eat people right?  No, he doesn't, but he does kill bad guys human or monster. 

But he could eat another vampire if he wanted right?  Well, yes, I suppose he could do that. 

So Cade could bite us if he wanted because we're vampires?  Yes, if you look at it that way, he could. 

If a vampire bites another vampire does that vampire become a zombie?  Oh! Well, isn't that a pretty piece of reasoning; I can see how that might happen.

And don't you worry.  There is a tiny amount of concern wrapped up in my undead mommy pride.
